Understanding Human Intelligence

Intelligence is the capacity for learning, reasoning, self-awareness, and self-correction. Intelligence is a complex construct that cannot be reduced to a single factor or attribute. It is made up of different abilities such as memory, reasoning, problem-solving skills, language fluency, planning skills and creativity.   The history of intelligence can be traced back to Plato and Aristotle.   In their writings, they argue that humans, animals, and even plants share some form of intelligence.   Aristotle also proposed that humans have different types of intelligences which determines our abilities in different areas.   There are many theories that try to explain the different types of intelligences.
